My Approach to Therapy
I believe you should feel in control of your therapy journey. My approach is deeply person-centered, meaning we begin with where you are, what matters to you, and what you want to understand or change. I’m here to provide guidance, education, and support—not to tell you who you should be or what your life should look like.
A foundation of my work is helping you understand the connection between your mind and body. Through accessible education about neuroscience, the nervous system, and our body’s stress response, we can begin to make sense of why you think, feel, and respond the way you do. Understanding what is happening within you can create a sense of clarity & compassion.
Together, we can explore the patterns that have shaped the way you experience yourself and the world around you. We’ll work toward creating new neural pathways that allow your brain and body to recognize safety, connection, joy, and the good things happening in your life—not just the things that feel threatening or difficult.
I also believe that healthy relationships begin with a healthy relationship with yourself. We’ll explore your needs, values, and boundaries so you can feel more confident using your voice, communicating what you need, and navigating relationships without losing yourself in the process.
Most importantly, therapy is a space for you to discover and embrace your most authentic self. My goal is not to help you become someone different, but to help you better understand yourself, trust yourself, and feel confident living in a way that feels genuine and aligned with who you are.
You are in the driver’s seat. I’m here to walk alongside you, help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and give you the tools and support to create meaningful, lasting change.
